Here are some after-care, pre-treatment, post-treatment, and post-operative instructions for several of our procedures.

Dental Crowns Post-Op
Instructions
- It is common to experience some sensitivity to cold and hot following the procedure.
- After the procedure, your injection site may feel tender and sore.
- Once anesthesia wears off, if your bite feels uneven, call the office right away. Our office number is 513-791-8880.
- Should any tooth ache and throb, call the office right away. Our office number is 513-791-8880.
- Be careful with brushing and flossing the temporary crown. You may use a Waterpik 24 hours after, but please use a low setting.
- Please refrain from chewing hard, sticky, or crunchy foods.
- Should your temporary crown come off: Add provided polygrip adhesive to crown, and recement temporary crown on tooth. If it is impossible to recement the crown yourself, please call the office so we can assist you.
After cementation of permanent crown, do not brush, floss, or chew on the new crown for 24 hours.
Restorative Post-Op
Instructions
- It is common to experience some sensitivity to cold and hot following the procedure.
- After the procedure, your injection site may feel tender and sore.
- Once anesthesia wears off, if your bite feels uneven, call the office right away. Our office number is 513-791-8880.
- Should any tooth ache and throb, call the office right away. Our office number is 513-791-8880.
- Although the filling is quite durable, the tooth is still vulnerable to new decay. It is important to continue regular brushing and flossing as well as routine hygiene visits.
Botox/Dysport Post-Op
Instructions
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages 24 hours before or after your treatment to avoid extra bruising.
- You may take Acetaminophen/Tylenol if you experience any mild tenderness/discomfort. Do not take Ibuprofen/NSAIDS as this may increase a risk for extra bruising.
- After treatment there will be swelling and redness with the possibility of bruising. Please ask our team for product suggestions to help decrease or conceal bruising or to expedite the healing of any bruising.
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2-3 days before and after treatment (examples: retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone).
- Avoid extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Apply SPF always.
- Avoid strenuous exercise or high heats (i.e. saunas, hot tubs, etc) for 24 hours post injection to reduce bruising. You may resume other normal activities/routines immediately.
- Do not lay down for 4 hours after treatment.
- Avoid touching your face or applying pressures to treatment areas especially for the 4 hours immediately after treatment.
- Change your pillowcases the day of your injections.
- Avoid applying makeup or speaking on your cell phone the day of injections to keep your sites clean and free of pressures. Try speakerphone.
Opus Plasma Pre-Treatment
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- 6 months prior to treatment, absolutely NO Accutane.
- 14 days prior, avoid all laser treatments and Sun Exposure.
- 7 days prior, stop using all topical retinoids including Retin A.
- 3-5 Days prior: No peels, facials, exfoliants, topical antibiotics, exfoliating masks, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide acne products, alpha hydroxyl acids (AHAs), or beta hydroxyl acids(BHAs).
- Darker skin types may choose to pretreat with hydroquinone 2 weeks prior to treatment • You may use arnica pills to help prevent bruising 2 days before (May be found at health food store).
DAY OF TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Avoid lotions, creams, makeup, or deodorant in area to be treated.
- Arrive with clean, washed skin without makeup.
- Update Dr. Endres and Dana about any changes in skin condition, medical history, supplements, or Over the Counter meds.
- You cannot be treated if you have any active cold sores, Herpes Simplex, warts, open sores or sunburn. Please contact the office to reschedule your appointment.

Opus Plasma Post-Treatment
After having this fractional plasma treatment, most patients experience only temporary, mild to moderate redness and swelling that feels like a sunburn, as well as tight, dry-feeling skin.
Post-Treatment Instructions
60-90 Minutes after Treatment:
- Apply Post Procedure Repair Complex followed by Restorative Ointment.
For the first 24 hours:
- Avoid sun exposure, strenuous exercise, saunas, or Jacuzzis. Heat retention in the skin can last up to 24 hours.
- Make sure to hydrate.
- Do not wear makeup. Only apply Post Procedure Repair Complex, then cover treatment area with Restorative Ointment & sunscreen.
- Swelling is normal for the first 24-48 hours. There can also be appearances of small red lines in treatment areas for up to 72 hours.
After 24 hours start Procedure 360 System:
- Please use products in this order:
1. Facial Cleanser
2. Post Procedure Repair Complex
3. Restorative Ointment
4. TNS Ceramide Cream
5. Essential Defense Mineral Shield (AM Only)
For the next 7 days:
- Redness may last up to 24-48 hours.
- Do not wear makeup. Tinted sunscreen is OK. Continue using Post Procedure Repair complex & suncreen.
- If light scabbing occurs, apply a wound healing products such as Skin Medica Post Procedure Repair Complex, and Restorative Ointment, followed by TNS Ceramide Cream.
- No ACIDS! Avoid Obagi, Retin-A, other exfoliating products.
- Around Day 5 post treatment, a sandy feeling to your face may appear. Do not pick at or try to remove this as this is part of the healing process.

Panthera Obstuctive Sleep Apnea Device After Care
Instructions
- Floss and brush your teeth before wearing the Panthera to sleep.
- To insert, position upper splint on the upper teeth and press. Move lower jaw forward to position the lower splint on the lower teeth. In some cases it may be easier to insert the lower splint first while moving the lower jaw forward.
- To remove, place thumbs on both sides of the lower splint near the gumline of the lower canines and lift. Then place fingers on each side of the upper splint near the gumline of the canines or further back, and pull down.
- Clean your device daily with soft brush, soap, and warm water. Check the condition of the Panthera regularly.
- Store the device in it’s storage box at room temperature, away from heat and humidity.
- Keep device away from pets & children and off bedside table.
- Use an anti-bacterial chlorine-free orthodontic cleaning solution (efferdent, polident, retainer bright) 1-2x a week.
- Consult Dr. Endres for an annual check-up of the device.
- Consult Dr. Endres for any adjustments; the rods/clips must be changed by your dental practitioner.
** DO NOT PRESS OR PULL ON THE RODS ** - Morning Reprogrammer: After removing Panthera in the morning and brushing teeth, wear morning reprogrammer for 10-15 minutes while applying light biting pressure.
In-Office Teeth Bleaching After Care
DO’S
- 600mg of Advil for pain.
- Spot treat any gum irritation with Vit E oil. Puncture a capsule and dab. Usually only needed for the first few hours after treatment.
- Continue nightly whitening at-home with any leftover gel tonight or tomorrow.
- Accelerated Maintenance: This begins after the in-office whitening visit and after you have completed the remaining at home whitening gel.
Example of accelerated maintenance:- Three nights per week for a month, then
- Two nights per week for a month, then
- One night a week for a month, then
- One night every-other week for a month.
- Long term Maintenance: This is recommended to all patients who whiten a minimum of one night per month to maintain whitening results after the active phase of KöR Whitening is completed. This provides permanent whiteness, even when patients continue to consume their favorite staining beverages such as coffee and tea.
- Purchase additional gel here at our office.
DO NOT’S
- Do not consume foods and beverages that can stain a white T-shirt for the next 48 hours or while following a maintenance regimen:
- Red wine, dark beverages/sodas, red sauces, mustard, ketchup, green tea, black tea or coffee
- Smoke or use smokeless tobacco products.
You may continue nightly whitening at-home with any leftover whitening gel from the prior 2 weeks.
Periodontal Therapy After Care
Your Role in Periodontal Therapy
- Diligence in home care
- Regular use of Waterpik and Medicinal Rinse

Step 1: Chlorhexidine (large bottles) DO NOT DILUTE
- AM: After brushing, swish ½ capful for 30- 60 seconds and spit out excess. Wait 30 minutes to eat or drink.
- PM: After brushing, add 400mL of Chlorhexidine to Waterpik tank and use until gone.
Step 2: Under the Gum Irrigant (small bottle)
- Begin using after all bottles of Chlorhexidine are complete.
- Once a day add 1 capful of Irrigant to Waterpik tank filled with water. Use until gone.
Waterpik – If new to using a Waterpik, practice with water only before using any other products. Start on a low pressure setting and gradually increase pressure until you get to level 9 or 10. Using warm water may be more comfortable.
